Chef Henry Chandler commemorates the 5th anniversary of his own life-saving liver transplant with his annual Liverversary Celebration, a fundraiser to benefit the Georgia Transplant Foundation.
Henry's Louisiana Grill will open its doors to raise money and give hope to those in desperate need of an organ donor, while celebrating Henry's own life-saving liver transplant. The event, held upstairs at the restaurant, will feature authentic Cajun cuisine, musical entertainment (DJ & Melanie Denard guest appearance), dancing, and a mini-iPad raffle. There will also be a live auction, featuring prizes such as a private dinner prepared by Chef Henry, a Gatlinburg getaway, a bicycle from PTS Sports, and much more.
Chef Henry has planned a delicious spread for the evening, including Spicy Boiled Jumbo Shrimp, Cajun Pesto Pasta Salad, Natchitoches Meat Pies, Chicken Taquitos, Baby Key Lime Pie and Blondies. Crafted cocktails, wine and Abita beer will be available from a cash bar.
Sponsorship of the event is available at several levels, all of which include reserved seating for 8, advertising opportunities and more. One hundred percent of the proceeds of the Liverversary Celebration benefit the Georgia Transplant Foundation.
Throughout the year, Chef Henry works tirelessly on the cause of organ donation. Diagnosed with liver cancer in 2007, his treatments proved unsuccessful, leaving the Cajun chef with one option for survival-a liver transplant. Thanks to many prayers and the excellent Piedmont transplant team, Chef Henry received his successful transplant on September 2, 2008.
