  A young woman’s infatuation meets an aristocrat’s insensitivity in the retelling of one of literature’s most poignant love stories. Set in the opulent Russian Empire, the opera tells the story of a dashing but jaded gentleman – Eugene Onegin. Onegin lacks empathy and suffers from restlessness, melancholy, and finally, regret. Tatyana is the young, passionate, and virtuous girl who falls hopelessly under Onegin’s spell.
