Micaya presents the San Francisco International Hip Hop DanceFest's 26th season, Saturday, November 9 and Sunday, November 10 at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco. This annual global convergence of hip hop dance artistry, the 26th Annual SFIHHDF, features artists from Montreal, Paris, Detroit, Milwaukee, Los Angeles, Vacaville, San Mateo, and San Carlos. This year's festival showcases works drawing from hip hop, krumping, dancehall, popping, locking, waacking, house, and jit, in addition to other dance styles. The companies performing in the 26th Season of the San Francisco International Hip Hop DanceFest are AMS (Montreal, Canada), Bliss Dance Company (Vacaville, CA), Friidom (Los Angeles, CA), House of Jit (Detroit, MI), Odasy (Paris, France), Str8jacket (San Mateo, CA), Tribe Crew ( San Carlos, CA), Versa-Style Legacy and Breez-Lee(Los Angeles, CA) and Water Street Dance Milwaukee (Milwaukee, WI).
On November 9 after the 7pm show and Included in the ticket is a Freestyle Dance Contest, SoulTrain style, onstage. Any audience member is welcome to enter. Hosted by Telice Summerfield. Winner receives $500. On November 10 after the 12 noon show and included in the ticket is an All Kids Freestyle Session Onstage Participating kids receive a SFIHHDF keepsake item. Included in the ticket for the November 10 5pm performance is the SFIHHDF Afterparty in the lobby. Party includes light bites, beverages, awards ceremony, DJ and a performance.
