We are thrilled to invite you to a unique evening of collaboration between Arab and Jewish Israelis. The Polyphony Quartet brings together violinists Yuval Shem Tov and Loor Jabareen, violist Yoav Yatsken and cellist Butrus Selrh. The quartet will be joined by harpsichordist Gordon Haramaki and vocalist Doreen Sassine.
ICC@OFJCC The Polyphony Quartet in Concert is a participatory evening with young Arab and Jewish musicians from Israel, creating our new reality of face-to-face human engagement. Polyphony shortens the distance between Arab and Jewish communities in Israel through music, while serving as a worldwide model for cooperation based on cultural exchange, dialogue and partnership.
Under the guidance of Polyphony's executive director Nabeel Abboud Ashkar, the Quartet performs throughout Israel, Europe and the United States.
The program includes Haydn's String quartet Op. 76, No 2 ('Quinten'), Arias by Vivaldi and Handel, a selection of Maya Belsitzman's hits and other masterpieces.
