  Join KQED Forum host Alexis Madrigal for an immersive look at how the global economy works through the prism of Oakland.

Inspired by his new book The Pacific Circuit, Madrigal offers a guide to the human effects of technology and globalization at the Port of Oakland. Explore the city's changing landscape and its untold stories through conversations with longshoremen, artists, and longtime activists, as well as a sound and art installation capturing the forces shaping the port and city today.

Then celebrate the Town's resilience and soul with drinks and a dance party featuring sets from killer local DJs. (Lineup to be announced.)
