Info:
Acclaimed pianist and Ravel scholar Gwendolyn Mok invites you into the lush, expressive world of composer Maurice Ravel in a concert filled with French elegance and musical charm. A renowned interpreter of Ravel's compositions, Mok brings nuance, intimacy, and artistry to one of classical music's most enduring voices.
Joined by San Francisco Symphony members Florin Parvulescu (violin) and David Goldblatt (cello), Mok presents a beautifully curated program that highlights Ravel's emotional range and unmistakable style. Among the program's highlights are the shimmering Valses nobles et sentimentales for solo piano, the ethereal Daphnis et Chloe (Part 3), and the richly textured Piano Trio-a piece celebrated for its sweeping lyricism and beauty.
Experience Ravel like never before-masterfully performed by three award-winning Bay Area musicians-in the final concert of Berkeley Chamber Performances' 2024-25 season!
