Then let Bedrich Smetana's "The Moldau" take you past jubilant hunters, a village wedding, a legendary gorge, and whitewater rapids on the way to Prague and its Bohemian castle, Vysehrad. Rounding out the afternoon, Martin Rokeach's Piccolo Concerto, with soloist Amy Likar, takes you on an optimistic and celebratory journey as it showcases the instrument's uniquely sweet-toned low register.
