  The Summer Of Music And Art (SOMA) stages a non-commercial festival in Cologne's Jugendpark. Surrounded by the river Rhine, this space forms the perfect setting for a non-stop, large-scale party. An added draw in 2005 is the Isle Of MTV, taking place on the Saturday.
Whatever music (techno, reaggae, hip-hop or dance music) you fancy, you'll find it in one of the five club areas or open-air stages. Headlining this year's programme are live bands such as New York stars LCD Soundsystem, British hip-hop group Roots Manuva, plus Soulwax, Feist, Von Spar and Jamie Lidell.
