  San Francisco Performances presents jazz singer Paula West with the George Mesterhazy Quartet 8 p.m. Friday, October 10, Herbst Theatre.

West has built her reputation on live concerts, from extended runs at San Francisco's Plush Room and New York's famed Algonquin Hotel, to the San Francisco Jazz Festival and concerts at Lincoln Center and the White House.

The evening features favorites from the Great American Songbook, as well as by Johnny Cash, Glenn Campbell, Hank Williams and others. It is a West tradition to include a different Bob Dylan song each year this election year it is the fitting "The Times They are a Changin'. "
