The 2008-2009 show will captivate audiences in 170 U.S. cities through May 2009.
THE RUNWAY REPORT FEATURES extravagant styles by world famous designers such as Issey Miyake, Bill Blass, Christian Lacroix, Carolina Herrera, Yves Saint Laurent, Laura Biagiotti and Valentino.
Atlanta's own Taylor J. Mason will be one of the models featured in the show this year.
Not only is EBONY FASHION FAIR an exciting and entertaining experience, but also since its inception in 1958 it has donated more than $55 million to charitable organizations. Mrs. Eunice W. Johnson, a premier fashion authority, is producer and director.
The Atlanta Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., was chartered in 1924 and has been a dynamic and vital force in the development and implementation of outstanding public service programs and projects which have benefited the Atlanta community through the years. Most notably, through the proceeds from the EBONY FASHION FAIR, the chapter awards over $25,000 a year in college scholarships to high school seniors.
THE EBONY FASHION FAIR will reveal new, varied, and exciting designs. The show is characterized by its glamour, elegance, and beauty and has all of the energy of a Broadway show. The flare of the world’s most creative clothing designs makes EBONY FASHION FAIR’S GLAM ODYSSEY an event that must be experienced!
The AAC under the leadership of its president Nadine Baker-Smith continues to be a dynamic and vital force in the development and implementation of outstanding public service programs and projects which have benefited the Atlanta community through the years. The AAC also supports the needs of high school seniors with scholarships and its annual Senior Girls’ reception. The EBONY Fashion Fair is currently the annual fundraising event for the chapter’s scholarship awards to deserving high school graduates and it also funds the chapter’s social programs.
