Grab your leash and join our FUNdraiser! We are thrilled to be hosting our second annual, “Pittie Please, Find a Cure Walk!” We are combining two causes that are near and dear to our hearts. So, let’s walk our pit bulls and all their K-9 friends to raise awareness and funds for Cystic Fibrosis.
Our friend, Sarah, was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at the age of four. Each day she struggles to literally breathe. Each day she is comforted by her silent heroes her beloved pittie girls, Kemo and Chula. They are right by her side providing her with their undying and unconditional love.
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a chronic, hereditary lung disease that causes an increased loss of lung function, eventually ending in death. Currently, Sarah has one third less lung function than an average person of her same age, height, weight and sex. Sarah is 27 years old. Thanks to advances in research, the life expectancy for CF patients is now 37 years of age. That is not long enough.
ABC's Of Bullies is an advocacy group which fights breed specific legislation (BSL) in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. We are fighting each day for pit bulls to have a chance in society just like any other breed. With your participation in our walk, we will bring positive attention to bully breeds and raise money for a great cause! We hope you will join us!
Pittie Please, Find a Cure Walk is open to ALL dog breeds. We do not discriminate. All dogs…big, small, seniors, blind, deaf, or chubby… are welcome!
