Each year the "Hard Hat" Awards honor an illustrious list of individuals from the private and public sectors, who are instrumental in furthering and supporting the efforts of minority contractors. This year our honorees include The Honorable Mayor Shirley Franklin Chairman Eldrin Bell, Clayton County Board of Commissioners WSB Channel 2 News Anchor, Monica Kaufman Atlanta City Councilman, C.T. Martin The Integral Group CEO/Chairman, Egbert Perry Assistant County Administrator of DeKalb County, Morris Williams DeKalb County Sheriff Thomas Brown Capital City Bank and Trust Company President and CEO, George Andrews and others. Equally significant, a portion of the proceeds from sponsorship dollars and ticket sales will provide funding for scholarships, which will be awarded to students who are pursuing collegiate studies in or related to the construction industry. The evening will commence with a reception at 6:00 p.m., followed by a 7:00 p.m. Awards Banquet.
